Mikael "Bluedun" Gröndahl gives a high class baitfish pattern, designed for pike, but in smaller sizes could a deadly pattern for salt water and costal sea trour also!
Materal:
Hook, any shortshank with wide gape
Bucktail
Glitter as wing n flash or similar thin flashfiber
Wing, today I juse Himalayan Sheep but you can use any thing you want, almost!!
Head, Sheep fleece
Eyes, 3D Epoxy
And some Zap-A-Gap and Zap Goo
step1, Tie in some Dark Bucktail forward on top and side of the hook
step2, Then some Red BT
step3, Some white, but now tie it in backwards, press back the black BT when you tie in the white
step4, view from the front
step5, Ad some flash
step6, Tie in some white Himalayan, under and on the sides
step7, then some black Himalayan on the top
step8, make the fleece head black on top and white on the sides and bottom
step9, head done view from the front
step10, trim the head, I like a small head, ad some Zap-a-Gap where the eyes will be, than glue the eyes with little Zap Goo
step11, view from above
Done!!
Use as little material as you can, that is the trick!! This fly is a little overdressed!
But after some Pike chewing at it, it will be Perfect!!
cheers
