This past saturday me and Uffe went down to Torö to see if we could fool a pike or two to strike on our flies.
The weather was not on our side, clearblue skies and very hard northen winds made it very hard to fish. Wind is normally a good thing but there is a certain wind speed where wind turns to beeing a bad thing instead.... When you are a flyfisherman you will always have the wind against you, either in the backcast or the forwardcast. After about 5 hours hard work in the wind we could sum up the day to only one pike landed. A 4.1 female landed by me. Uffe did have a few striked but none caught and landed. |
