Sida 1 av 8 The porcupine emerger Hook: Patride BNX15 size 20 Thread: Uni 12/0 Abdomen: One porcupine guard hair Thorax: One peacock herl Thorax cover: Rainys cylinder float foam This is for me one of the simplest and also most effecient patterns for small emergers. Inspired by simillar patterns which uses stripped hackle feathers for abdomen I used the porcupine guard hair which holds both light and dark portions of the quill wich makes it easy to vary some different styles of colours. This one is great to use for midge or small mayfly hatching, the foam "life west" does make is hard to see in fast flowing waters but in slower streams or lakes it works like a charm!
