Swedish fly fishing fair 2010 special - Dave Wiltshire

Dave Wiltshire really takes the historical heritage of english fly tyers that has a fantastic focus on details on. Proving that it is the small adjustments and details that makes the big difference when it comes to catching fish on your flies. We are very proud to have him on the Swedish fly fair 2010.

Dave Wiltshire - "The tutor"

Hi, my name is Dave Wiltshire. I live near Bristol, in the south West of England. My great interest lies in fishing running water - especially tiny brooks and streams. For me, tying is all about simple, suggestive patterns and at the Swedish Fly Fair I’ll be demonstrating a selection of my favourite river patterns which include nymphs, dry-flies, spiders... I love fishing them all! When I get the chance, I also like to fish the fly for pike and sea-trout too. I am lucky to have some really great waters just short drives from where I live.

Fly tying and fishing has introduced me to some great friends and I hope to meet even more when I visit the show. I am tying on the Saturday and the Sunday.

Over the last year, I’ve been keeping an update on my fishing and tying at: http://davewiltshireflytying.blogspot.com/.

I have also been developing a new website, giving tutorials for my favourite river patterns: http://www.riverflybox.co.uk/. There are plans for some guest tiers to join in too, so please take a look regularly.

I am really looking forward to the show – see you there.

~Dave
