Elmer mayfly

Hook: Size 18-22 ligh tdryfly hook
Tying thread: Uni 17/0
Body: Micro chenille
Tails: Syntetic mayfly tails or simillar
Wings: CDC
Hackel: Grizzly

This fly is a very differnt patterns that makes it very  easy to imitate smaller mayflies. It's almost perfect when the Baetis Rhodani is hatching. It's very light and lays perfect on the surface with the hook pointing straight down.

By carefully tapering the chenillen you can tie it down to very small sizes, the fly on the photos here are size 18.
